The draft budget for 2007 includes
almost PLN 4bn (€1bn) for the
construction and maintenance of the

This represents an increase of
22% in funding for such purposes
next year, i.e. an extra PLN 2.5bn
(€625m). This amount does not
include resources assigned to the
General Directorate of National Roads
and Motorways. In addition to this
sum, a PLN 1.4bn (€350m) specialpurpose
reserve is also planned for
road modernisation and construction
projects. A further approx. PLN 4bn
(€1bn) is to come from the National
Road Fund.
With regard to rail investments,
17% more cash is to be available in
2007 than was the case this year,
i.e. PLN 1.6bn (€400m). Another
PLN 380m (€95m) has also been
set aside for the modernisation and
day-to-day maintenance of Poland’s
railway infrastructure. |
