US megastore ‘Toys ‘R’ Us’ has its sights set on the Polish market.

With over 1,550 stores in 35 countries already, the toy giant looks ready to move into Poland for the first time, and, according to Puls Biznesu, its first store could be opened by the end of the year.

With an estimated toy market of around PLN 2 bln and a population of over 38 mln, the country would provide a perfect opportunity for expansion after the closure of more than 80 stores in the US five years ago.

Details look set to follow over the summer.
