The city’s treasurer believes the good economic situation is
greatly and the lower 19-per cent CIT rates are the main contributors
here. The city’s finances were boosted substantially by
the tax revenue from natural persons (PIT). The sale of municipal
properties helped considerably. 96.6 per cent of the annual
plan has been already realised – We are privatising business
establishments in the city. The inhabitants are purchasing council
flats. There are 34,000 more such flats for sale in Gdansk.”
says Włodzimierz Pietrzak, the treasurer.
