Airport in Niedzwiada ever closer to reality

The Spanish INECO has won a tender organised by the board of the Lubelskie voivodship to prepare
the specifications for a new airport in Niedzwiada.

the specifications for a new airport in Niedzwiada.

The voivodship authorities have already bought up more or less 70% of the 264 ha land envisaged for the airport and in several dozen cases expropriation procedures have also been initiated. During the first stage of the investment, which is scheduled to begin next year, the plan is to build
a 2.8 km runway, walls, lighting and navigation facilities as well as a small terminal. The estimated cost of the work will be around €49m, according to the local government.
